Featured Artist - RAN
RAN is a collaboration of two artist, Nancy Hanning and RB Black
exhibiting their love of abstract art. Creating abstract painting
using a mixed media approach including textures, acrylic, ink
and gold leaf.
The two artists approach the process by first working out the subject of the piece, then work out the color and texture to be used. From there, working on the canvas at the same time, they start creating. Hanning and Black have jointly created artwork for corporations throughout the southeast. Many times the artists work in conjunction with decorators to create the perfect painting for their clients.
Ms. Hanning has been painting for over 40 years, studying with artists in Ohio and Florida. Nancy has been active in the various art centers and museums in Ohio, Florida and Alabama.
RB is a graduate of the University of Alabama in Huntsville, receiving a graphics art degree in 1985. His work has been shown in exhibitions in Florida, Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia.
